The new budget would be announced soon. The Family Affairs Committee of the DAB held a petition and put forward a number of expectations related to family affairs, hoping to cater to the needs of different families. The suggestions were as follows:
Set up a tax allowance for hiring foreign domestic helpers
Increase the child allowance under tax assessment
Introduce children's healthcare vouchers
Set up a childcare allowance
Introduce student travel discounts
Introduce subsidy for school children’s eye examination and purchase of glasses
Enhance family in crisis support services
Enhance support for SEN children
