After the National Two Sessions concluded victoriously earlier this year, the DAB held a sharing session for DAB LegCo members, district councillors, community officers and staff to deepen their understanding and grasp of the spirit of the Two Sessions. Starry Lee, member of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress and Chairperson of the DAB, was the principal speaker, and Hong Kong Deputies of the NPC Chan Yung, Wong Ying Ho, Kennedy, Chen Chung Nin, Rock, Wong Bing Fan, Iris and Members of the CPPCC Lui Kin, Clement shared their insight at the meeting.
Starry Lee described this year's two sessions as productive and fruitful, and provided direction for Hong Kong advancing from stability to prosperity. The country had implemented firm measures to fight the epidemic, stabilize the economy, and ensure safe development. It strengthened efforts of macro regulation and realized a generally stable economic performance, steady improvement in the quality of development, and overall social stability.
Starry Lee remarked that the DAB Office of NPC Deputies and CPPCC Members which was set up in February this year had received 99 cases so far. Citizens are welcome to reflect their views or seek assistance on mainland affairs from the branches of the DAB.
