  • Chinese medicine culture possesses a profound historical legacy and serves as an integral component of Chinese civilization.

  • Three universities in Hong Kong have established dedicated schools or faculties of Chinese medicine, developing highcalibre research infrastructures supported by extensive clinical data resources.

  • Local Chinese medicine exhibits significant expertise with established credibility and strong public reputation, has yet to develop a large-scale platform for systematic promotion.

  • Drive integrated culture-tourismdevelopment by creating diversifiedtourism offerings, optimizing tourism facilities and services to boost HongKong's economy.

  • Strengthen global cultural exchange partnerships to solidify Hong Kong's role as an East-West cultural exchange hub.

  • Showcase Hong Kong's distinct cultural character to attract domestic andoverseas visitors.

Anticipated Results

  • Successfully advocated for renaming the "Hong Kong Museum of Coastal Defence" to the "Hong Kong Museum of the War of Resistance and Coastal Defence" and
    establishing a Chinese Cultural Experience Gallery.

  • Pushed for a museum showcasing national development achievements in the Northern Metropolis.

  • Organized the "Hello Pandas" event to boost panda-themed cultural/creative economies.

  • Promoted Halal cuisine with BOT-certified restaurants to target Middle Eastern tourists; co-hosted food exhibitions with local F&B sector to highlight Hong Kong’s dining culture.

  • Comprehensively developed cultural tourism through diversified products/tours, such as war of resistance history tours, eco-trail hiking, cultural immersion walks,city explorations.

  • Tourism drove 40% year-on-year growth in F&B/retail revenue during this year's Golden Week.
